Meet Dr. Denny Standifer
The profession and practice of orthodontics provides Dr. Denny Standifer the opportunity to serve others by improving his patients' smiles, which may have a positive effect on the quality of their lives. Dr. Standifer is dedicated to his patient's positive orthodontic experience, from the moment they walk through the door to the day their braces are removed. The privilege of helping patients achieve a beautiful smile and the joy it brings to them is the reason Dr. Standifer enjoys coming to work each day.
Dr. Standifer has been practicing orthodontics in the Chattanooga, Dayton, and Sequatchie Valley area since 1996 and looks forward to welcoming you and your family to Standifer Orthodontics.
Education and Continuing Education
Dr. Standifer graduated from the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga with his undergraduate degree and continued on to UT College of Dentistry where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He practiced general dentistry for 12 years before returning to specialize in orthodontics, earning a certificate in the specialty of orthodontic training from Howard University in Washington D.C.
Aside from his formal education, Dr. Standifer continues to invest in orthodontic education for the benefit of his patients through numerous forms of continuing education. He attends dental seminars approved by the AAO and ADA and regularly reads journals to keep up with new technology and treatment options. Dr. Standifer is interested in new treatments that can help his patients achieve beautiful smiles and optimal function with patients' comfort in mind.

Outside the Office
Originally from Red Bank and a graduate of Red Bank High School, Dr. Standifer now resides in the Chattanooga area with his wife, Debbie. They have two daughters and two grandchildren. When he’s not in the office, Dr. Standifer can be found spending time with his family, playing golf, or enjoying the outdoors. He attends Red Bank Baptist Church.
Dr. Standifer realizes how much he and his family have been blessed, and he believes deeply in giving back to his community. He volunteered with Dixie Youth baseball where he coached, trained, and serves as a board member. He has also served since 2005 on the TN Regional Craniofacial team, helping patients with craniofacial deformities caused from birth defects and trauma.
